Re: Chrome shop in Atlanta?

I've used Dallas Plating and Southern Bumper exchange both. Don't know about Chrome it.
Depending on what you need plated both of the above mentioned ones were satisfactory.
HOWEVER if you have anything that is pitted or needs some serious work to bring it up to snuff. You will have to go out of state. Georgia will not allow the copper plating waste products to be disposed of in our state. The copper plating portion of the process is utilized to fill pits and gouges and will sometimes require multi layers with polishing between to achieve a satisfactory substrate to plate over with nickel then chrome. My next lot is going to Tennessee. It's all pot metal and aluminum that needs a serious overlay to get right. PM me if you need further info

Thanks...I've heard good things about that shop in TN..
I was thinking local for my grill piece and gas door guard?
But may be best to make the drive to TN
Thanks again!

Re: Chrome shop in Atlanta?

We/I have used 4

Advanced Plating did the majority of the chrome on our car and the plating was "good". Their customer service SUCKS, they did "nothing asked of them to "help" accommodate us OR the restoration shop that uses them, that has our car. We are talking over $7500 worth of business!!! PLUS I had seen where they had a fire a while back so not sure what the delivery schedule will be like??

Paul's Chrome plating. They only did a couple of small pieces and a repair but did a very nice job, communication was good and got it done when they said they would.

Graves in Florence AL - The are also good, they did a 35 grill for us and with out seeing it in person BUT still gave an estimate from our description, was about $40 from his estimate. he also did a few pieces for our current project and did a good job.

Atlantic Coast Plating - Good on small parts and pieces that are maybe not so front and center. IF I "had" to rank them they'd be 4th.

Hope this helps.
