Re: Service/Repair Manual The best one I have is the one that states "Ford Service Manual" on top. It is based on a wartime Canadian technical manual along with a lot of other Ford information. It is a big book. It has 458 pages and over 500 illustrations. It is green with the V8 piston, crankshaft, and valve assemblies on the cover.

Re: Service/Repair Manual The Motor Manuals can Purchased at swap meets. They are not rare and can cost about $$5 to $10. The guy that sell manuals does not have them because they are so common.

Re: Service/Repair Manual In addition, the original printed manuals are readible. Whereas digitally scanned media are scanned at limited dots per inch. I go to my computer manual for quick information but often revert to my original factory printed book for illustrations.
I don't know why so many digital scanners use inadequate dots per inch, perhaps it's the small file size. Sure doesn't say much for their commitment of quality for their customers. Incidentally I was pleased to pay $100 for the last Mercury Lincoln manual I got at a swap meet. |
Re: Service/Repair Manual Personally I like printed, I prefer. Have it flipped open on the bench. But to be fair you can print the cd too if you have the ink. Manuals and books are a great investment if you are serious about it. More is better.
