1936/1939 rear brake drum differences.

Can't find a thread on the differences between the 1936 rear brake drum and the 1939 rear brake drum in reference to converting my 36 ford to hydraulic brakes. Any help with info would be greatly appreciated. Mainly looking for info on the drums. Thanks Ken

The differences will not affect the conversion to hydraulic brakes. Just a matter of switching the backing plates. The fronts are the ones that are different.

If you are going to do a "juice" conversion --- you WILL be using the 1940 - 1948 Ford or Mercury set up..... You need to get the backing plates (Used, only..).
I can supply you with everything else needed brand new -- the Master Cylinder, the Wheel Cylinders, the Brake Hoses, the Wheel Bearings & Seals, and the Brake Drums.

If you secure the backing plates, Always best to simply call me -- Craig --

This Rear Brake Drum is off early 1936 Fords, however, I believe that it was replaced with a "solid" one part way through the model year?
