Well its only been a year and three months to rebuild and get to this stage .. Finally feel like Im getting to the pointy end after all the disasters. Lucky I was going to do the trans again too! Hopefully not too long and I'll be back on the road daily driving again.

Yup sure is. When draining the oil[s] I heard a clunk and sure enough when I fished through a few days later, there a bit of the spacer/ thrust washer .. Lucky that only about 1/3 came off so the other main part of it never came away from the shaft. No idea how long I'd been driving like that, would be less than 12 months though. But no matter it came out with the engine and I had intended to rebuild it [again].
