Anybody in NC?
 

Hello,


Looking for anyone in NC, Raleigh/Fayetteville area that could give me a lead on some good reputable shops around here. First order of business would be to get my radiator fixed and maybe get some motor and transmission work done. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If you are a V-8 Club member use your roster and call the presidents of the 3 regional V-8 groups in North Carolina. I'm sure they would know or can find good information on what you want to do on your car. If you are not a member the $35 application fee is well worth the V-8 Times magazine that comes 6 times a year. www.earlyfordv8.org.

Ralph, Tom, (TJ) above is spot on. Assuming you are either new to the Raleigh area, new to old Fords, or both. Joining the Early Ford V8 Club is absolutely the best "part" you need right now for your project. And, the V8 Times that comes along with membership is a bonus.

I faced a similar situation when I moved from Pennsylvania to AZ 6 years ago. I needed a machine shop that knew what a "flathead" engine was....and the machinists there looked like I do...a.k.a. "older"!

I found all that and more through our Early V8 community.

As the other guys said, please join the Early Ford V8 Club, it's cheap!

If you are in North Carolina, your reasonably close to Micheal Driskell at Third Gen Automotive in McMinnville TN, who will be able to help you with most if not all your component services and parts. Great guy, great prices, unbelievable V8 Ford knowledge (priceless).

Thank you all. Appreciate the responses and help. My wife's grandfather who built the car back in the 80s was a member. We kept all of his old copies of V8 Times and trophies he won with the car back in the day.
