Transporting with no rear

I'm starting to think about pulling the engine, trans and rear end out of my tudor this fall. The plan is to rebuild the items over the winter. I will need to flatbed the car to another location for winter storage with out those three items in the car. Anyone have some ideas what I can do for rear rear wheels so that it can roll on and off the the flatbed? I don't have have a spare rear end to install. I am handy and can fabricate and weld. Any pictures would be great. Thanks for your help and ideas.

Put your general location in your profile and someone may have an extra rear end.

Harbor freight and get some wheelbarrow wheels and weld up a quick stand. Does not have to be complicated.

Harley:
Take a few measurements and fabricate a body dolly. See if you can find some pneumatic tires at HF or Northern Hydraulics.

Hi Harley,

1. Hmmm ...."Will I will need to flatbed the car to another location for winter storage?"

2. Hmmm ....."For sure, I'm starting to think about pulling the engine, trans and rear end out of my tudor this fall?"

3. But ........ if possible ....how about:

A. Enjoying a Model A trip while driving the car to another location for winter storage; and,

B. Pulling the engine, trans and rear end out ... where the Tudor will be stored; and,

C. Possibly flatbed the engine, trans and rear end out to where you want to perform this re-building work; and,

D. Hmmmm ..... never have to make a rear end .... nor have to play around with some other guy's rear end ?

Hi Harley,

Hmmmmm ........you could also:

1. Drive your Tudor to a trusted Model A friend's house in your neighborhood, let him pull the engine, transmission, rear end and let him re-build everything; and ,

2. Drive it back to your house all completely re-built; and,

3. Just pay him what you saved on your winter vehicle storage and flat bed rental;
or .....

4. No .... on second thought, maybe just skip this other option!
