Aftermarket front tube shock mounts? Recently got these with some parts and was wondering if they were an aftermarket way to replace Houdalaille shocks with tube shocks for front of 35-40 frames. Thought i've seen pictures of these before but can't remember if they are a Ford product or aftermarket supplier. Thanks, Gary

I would say those are aftermarket. However, they look shorter than what I have seen. The ones below were put on my 40 around 1961.
Do they have any Ford markings like FoMoCo? Are the shocks marked? |
Re: Aftermarket front tube shock mounts? Lots of markings on shocks Monroe brand #K18238 plus more nothing on mounts themselves.

Re: Aftermarket front tube shock mounts? I'd say aftermarket, as those pictured here are the factory '48-ish tube shock mounts. DD

Re: Aftermarket front tube shock mounts? I have a pair of those factory mounts for the 47 I'm working on. They are NOS, the rears are the style that mount to the backing plate on bottom and crossmember on top.
