Re: shed find 1934 Aussie Roadster Deluxe How lucky you are!!!!
|
Re: shed find 1934 Aussie Roadster Deluxe That is a lucky find. The fuel in the bowl of the fuel pump looks like our fuel in the '50s.
|
Re: shed find 1934 Aussie Roadster Deluxe That's a great find, good luck with it.

Re: shed find 1934 Aussie Roadster Deluxe 3 Attachment(s)
when i first drove it i blew both head gaskets,Doh.so i took the heads off and cleaned it all up ,fixed the corrotion in the heads with Devcon and got the heads faced, put it all back together and drove it 500mtrs and the head itself blew a big chunck out of it.luckily i had a spare head hanging on the wall and replaced the broken one.got it all back together but i had radiator problems,so i put another radiator in that i had lying around but that leaked to,so a little black pepper in it did the trick, put new water pumps on and have been driving it,but still having over heating prblems,so i got the old radiator recored and that will go in today and hopefully fix the overheating problem

Re: shed find 1934 Aussie Roadster Deluxe Great Find! One of the absolutely best styled Fords ever made . . . in my mind, a much better looking car than a 32. Looks like it probably has some rust in the valves (just guessing from the pictures) - may need to go through that engine in the somewhat near future. How much compression does it have?
Again, great news! |
Re: shed find 1934 Aussie Roadster Deluxe thanks Guys, havnt done a compression test, car runs fine until i get it to around 50 mph then it starts braking down, may be fuel?.not sure yet,i put new plugs and coil on it but havnt driven since.putting the new radiator in at the moment.

Re: shed find 1934 Aussie Roadster Deluxe Nice find. A lovely looking car. You can see from the pics the gap between the rockers and the running boards. I understand this is the difference that denoted the body as Australian production.

Re: shed find 1934 Aussie Roadster Deluxe Very cool! I love the twin side mounts.:) Have fun with it.
|
Re: shed find 1934 Aussie Roadster Deluxe Looking at all the rust in the water jackets me thinks that you really need to clean that block up before you put in the new recored radiator. All that crap is going to end up in your new radiator.

Love your new "find". Any 1934 Ford with 6 wheel equipment is especially rare. What is the Body Number of your Gem? It should start off with 40R ? |
