'34 Truck comes to live with it's brother. 5 Attachment(s)
300+ mile round trip to go get this one over the coastal mountains - hwy 84.

Re: '34 Truck comes to live with it's brother. I was told the truck was CW Moss's truck. The truck is mostly stock except the unmentionable engine which has the numbers 327 in its name.
And the best part is it also has 5.14 gears like the '33 pulling it. Unfortunately, this '34 doesn't have the vacuum brake booster like the '33 does. |
Re: '34 Truck comes to live with it's brother. How cool is that!!!!! Exceptional pictures.

Re: '34 Truck comes to live with it's brother. Unbelievable.... You have a set of 'em for sure. Holy crap, what's next?

Re: '34 Truck comes to live with it's brother. That exceeds the WA and CA load limit of 16,000 lbs. OR's limit is 20,000 lbs tho. I 've gotten away with it before tho. Lots of BB's around still. Newc

Re: '34 Truck comes to live with it's brother. Where did you find load limits for the BB?
I figure I was about 6,000 for the truck and just shy of 10K for the trailer and load. |
Re: '34 Truck comes to live with it's brother. It's possible that I may have upset a few Prius, Telsa, Porsch etc drivers on the way back over the mountain but I pulled over whenever possible. I wasn't going to die just to keep the speed up. I went down the mountain in second gear.
Also not popular is the result of the ancient valve stem seals under high vacuum going down the mountain. I need to replace them soon! |

Dropped $170 here to top off the 30 gal side tank and the 16 gallon seat tank

Re: '34 Truck comes to live with it's brother. Very cool. Trucks seem to come in pairs!
Looks like the '34 has the full-floating rear axle. Congratulations on your hauling adventure, it looks awesome. |
Re: '34 Truck comes to live with it's brother. BIG selling point in '34 -that better axle. Brought a lot of customers into the dealers and helped with PU sales also. Newc

Re: '34 Truck comes to live with it's brother. Great pictures. Pigeon pair.
|
Re: '34 Truck comes to live with it's brother. I like that full floater too but I've been super impressed with the the size of the roller bearings on the '33 semi floater - it's not wimpy.
|
Re: '34 Truck comes to live with it's brother. Wow great combo, I wish I had the money and room to own a big truck.
|
Re: '34 Truck comes to live with it's brother. I think the full floating rear axle was put into production in around February 1934, so early 1934 BB trucks had to 3/4 floating and later trucks had the full floating.

I also like the hubcaps and the big 5 lug pattern on the 34's. |
Re: '34 Truck comes to live with it's brother. That’s so cool and great looking trucks
