EAB carburetor-how can you tell?
 

My 1952 EAB carb doesnt have any numbers. It only has Ford and EAB on it. Is it a AA-1, a 2100 or a 2110?
Each carb has different float settings so I need to know. I have spent hours on Van Pelt and the carb websites, havent found the answer. Thanks!

The EAB 9510-C/-D/-F were all later versions of the 94. They have the high lift nozzle bar so this is what makes them different than earlier models. They varied a little for different altitude use, dashpots for auto trans use, & throttle/choke connections. They were all 2100-DD types.

Rotorwrench is 100% correct. It is possible the cast iron throttle body has AA-1 cast in it, but the EAB carb is a 2100-DD. The 2110 came out in 1956 on the 272 only and had auto chokes on pass. cars and they had a different throttle body with larger throttle bores.

Does anyone have any idea which carb Ford originally used in 51 V-8 automatic trans applications?

My 51 came with the wrong carb on it with no dashpot (big shocker,huh?),but I managed to find and buy a Holley 2100-DD EAB-D from a 52 Ford with the FOM and V-8. It still has the dash pot and bracket on it,but I know I am going to need to buy a new dashpot because even the choke plate is frozen into position. No chance of the diaphragm still working.

BTW,a new dash pot is easy to find,but the dash pot brackets are almost impossible to find.

Does anybody know what model carb was originally put on the V-8's in 51?

Laz, According to this chart, your car should have come with a 1BA-9510-A

I've never seen a carb with 1BA cast on the carb body. Would have been 8BA.

I think the chart in post #7 is a little confusing. '49 to '51 Ford V8's should have an 8BA carb. 1BA is for the '51 255 V8 Mercury police engine option. Completely different carb. (Model 885F).

Those are part numbers, not casting numbers.

That's true, but could be confusing if someone were to look for that number on the carb.

My favorite car at this time is an all stock '51 Ford coupe. Located a carb with 1 1/16th center section. The engine runs fine and I can feel a bit more power on acceleration in 1st and 2nd gear.
