Fitting Glass and Channels in a 29 Closed Cab Pickup

Advice required.
Could anyone give me a Link, Diagram or description of, how to fit new door glass channels and fit the door glass in my 29 Closed Cab Pickup.
I am using a new aftermarket window channel kit.
Thank you

There are probably different ways to do this job, but here's how I do it.
With the inside trim off of the door and without the channels, I put the glass in the slots in the door and connect it to the window crank.
With the window down, I slide the new felt window channels down into the slots along side the glass on each side. Hook the top retainer on the felt channel into the slot at the top, then pull the felt channel snug and rivet the bottom of the felt channel to the bottom of the metal channel.

Having just done mine a few weeks ago, I'd have to say Dan's method would have worked better then channels first. Seems much easier then sliding glass down into channels already in place..!

Thanks Dan. A further question. When you slide and hook in the window glass channels each side of the glass, where should the top of the channel be? Should it be up at the top of the door, so the end is out sight? Or should you be able to see the finished end of the channel when in place?? A pic would be really helpful if anyone has one.

When you purchase your channel kit there should be a soft rubber strip that glues along the top of the door between the metal channels. This is the seal for the top of the window glass when it's all the way up.

I would put the rubber strip in the top of the door first and then butt the top of the felt channels up tight to that rubber strip. So, when you are figuring out where to put the top retainer clips on the felt channels keep that in mind, and measure accordingly so the top of the channels squeeze the rubber a little bit.

I'm sorry, I don't have a photo of that area.
