If anyone knows where I might be able to locate a set of standard bore (2 7/8" - 2.875") piston rings for steel pistons in my Zephyr HV-12. (late '46-48 engine), I would be very appreciative. Egge - no, Boos & Herrel - no, Earle O. Brown - doesn't return messages, Al Whelihan - spoke to him a few weeks ago after several attempts to reach him and he said he would check and let me know - I never heard back. Tried both Hastings and Grant - might as well talk to the wall.
I don't want to needlessly over bore a good block as that makes absolutely no sense. Please let me know if you can help.
