Clam shell bolts and nuts orientation

What is the correct orientation of the nuts and bolts for the clam shell?

All nuts face towards the engine/transmission except the top one and that is just reversed of the other 5 for easy access in getting the cotter pin in the bolt when tightened due to the way the transmission shifting tower is, I think.

Anyone else?

Makes sense to me.
How about the two at the sides?

David,

I have seen them both ways but I prefer to put the bolt in from the top...Why? Well if the nut and the lock washer just happen to come loose and fall from the bolt, all you have lost is the nut and lock washer. If put in the other way, you have lost everything, nut, lock washer and bolt!

I just wish there was more clearance on the bolts so a guy could use a socket instead of two end wrenches.
