zenith carb

I have a zenith carb that for some reason does not have threads in the secondary well hole to screw the brass secondary well fitting into. Is that a normal carb or is it some kind of mistake?

I know nothing about the past on this carb. I came by it when I purchased a basket case model A . It has a single venturi in it now. Do I need a double venturi in it before it will work?

Re: zenith carb

Look in the intake end of the carb, with the choke open. Are the two jets inline,or offset from one another? If they are inline it is a true double venturi, and if they are offset then it is a single venturi.

Re: zenith carb

Bill C. is correct, early '28 carb, single venturi. Mine is the same and it's the original.
