Covid19 https://youtu.be/sjDuwc9KBps This is off the normal format of this forum, but is a good watch, especially for those with health problems. It is not that long & worth a look. Hopefully I haven't over stepped the limits of this forum.

Re: Covid19 There used to be a guy on here Old Henry. He used to drive his old Ford all over the West with his dog. Have not seen him around on here lately. Is he OK? Hope so.

Re: Covid19 Quote:
He has dumped us on the 'Barn for another love....to go play with model airplanes. And "Old Henry" was the name he gave to his old car. I can't even remember his real name at the moment, but I guess it doesn't really matter. DD |

Re: Covid19 I had the fortune to meet him and his wife a few years ago. They were passing thu on their way home from yet another adventure. Super nice folks that you would like for a neighbor!!

Re: Covid19 His profile says his last activity on the Barn was 12-1-2019. So, about 4 months ago.

Re: Covid19 Quote:
He's only made 13 posts since June of 2018, all 13 between Sept and Dec of last year....we has been dumped folks, without so much as a good-bye kiss on the cheek! DD |

Now that's kind'a comical, Tony! DD |
Re: Covid19 His reports and courage on the road were strong. We all wish him well. I mess heavily with old trains so I sometimes slip over there.
Recently I grabbed two homey-did locos off'n ebay. I love them and am big time challenged to get them running. Good for my tired sacred old mind. I was not cared flying into hurricanes or popping Nucs nearby. I was not scared flying the c-131 or Gooney Bird. I was frightened in the KB-50. The low cost bidder modified the B-50 into a tanker and Boeing decertified the aircraft. 2 miles of fuel line ans seven miles of wire in the tanker. It liked to blow up. For every takeoff crew men had to open the pressure doors to the Bomb bay and sniff for excessive gas fumes. It if smelled too bad, we dumped fuel and returned to base. The flap motors like to loose their ground near the fuel bladders... |
