1937 Tudor interior

Starting to look at the interior upholstery on my 37 Tudor slantback. Does the standard have armrests/ash trays in the rear, or only the deluxe? Seems front doors have none. Thanks Zeke

Zeke, My 37 Tudor Deluxe never had arm rests up front, but my rear did have the ash tray. I have the 37 restoration book, I will see what I can find out!

Here is a quote from the 37 Ford Book. "On both Standard and Deluxe closed cars, the upholstery fabric was used on the front and rear seats, door panels, door pillars, front door arm rests (if so equipped), rear arm rests, and the quarter trim panels."
I'm going to take(if so equipped) to be a factory option?

Zeke, I am curious how the upholstery attaches on the door posts. Do you have an idea? Mine had some little wooden blocks glued in that are not original. What is yours like?

I have a 1937 De Luxe and I have one driver door armrest and no armrest on the passenger front door.

Zeke, I have my original standard interior in a box down in the basement. I don't think there were any ash trays in the armrests in the back. I'll take a look to confirm. Bruce

Slantback, Mac's sells tack strip by the foot 1/2 x 3/8 that fits the B pillar. Seems to work ok, I'm also using at the rear window package shelf for the head liner. I also found my rear arm rests that I removed when disassembling interior. Trying to piece the door panel together for a form, stuff just crumbles seems if you just look at it. Only had one panel when I got it, but I do have two Qtr panel pieces, might get a form easier there but I doubt it. Also installed my Mighty wiper motor, have not tried the cover yet looks close.
