MAFCA Convention Anybody going to Kerrville from California driving their Model A?

Re: MAFCA Convention I know of nine cars!

Re: MAFCA Convention I headed out last night about 9:30 to avoid the traffic and heat. I don’t mind getting there early a day, but allows me time to take in a few sights along the way.

Re: MAFCA Convention Hi Dennis
Will you post pictures of your adventure. |
Re: MAFCA Convention Joop, I would do that if it weren’t so dark. I’m sleeping in the daytime and driving at night. The heat and I don’t get along very well

Re: MAFCA Convention David, are you coming down? I met you 4 years ago in Sparks, NV. I enjoyed the book I got from you, was a great read. I really have to commend you for a lot.

Re: MAFCA Convention Joop, it was great to finally meet you and the others. Looking forward to seeing and talking with you throughout the convention.

Re: MAFCA Convention I will be there tomorrow. I am flying in. I look forward to talking to a lot of friends, old and new. I will be Judging and holding a Victoria Association gathering/meeting. Look on the bulletin board for information on the meeting location and time.

Re: MAFCA Convention I'm trying to rearrange my schedule so I can spend at least one day there.

Re: MAFCA Convention Some great A's have showed up already. We processed about 75 registrations yesterday. We will be in full swing today. There is a total of about 320 registrations so it will be busy.

Re: MAFCA Convention Got a chance to checkout the Burtz engine in Dennis’ classy Tudor. Dennis has added some nice accessories. Very nice setup.

Re: MAFCA Convention Thanks Doug! It truly was an honor meeting you this past week and sharing conversation. I can honestly say I think the convention was a great success and was thrilled to meet a lot of MAFCA members. It’s been 4 long years since the last - let’s pray and hope the next won’t be that far away.

Re: MAFCA Convention So sorry to have missed this convention again due to Covid.
Last one we attended was Sparks Nevada. We were all booked for the next one and never did get refunds for hotel and flights when it was cancelled. And then Covid prevented all the overseas visitors from coming to our rally in Gisborne New Zealand last year. I think there were more than a dozen American cars coming over for it from memory. Over 2 years down the drain from Covid so far. And at my age with bad lungs, I am nervous about getting on an a plane full of foreigners with possible flu or covid during our winter! Covid has been replaced by flu in NZ and all hospitals are desperately overloaded here. Hopefully next summer will yield up a more healthy environment. Did anyone organise a Ford Barn pizza meeting like the great one Daveymc29 did in Sparks? I got his coyote mountain book and enjoyed it too. SAJ in NZ |
