Re: 30 Pickup rear window I recently installed a new window in my 30 Pickup and it was a challenge. I had to do it twice because I failed to stretch the rubber around the window and tack it in place before I did the installation. That resulted in puckers in the rubber. I had some help from the forum with folks defining how to do the stretching operation. I will go look for that information and come back here with the info. I also bought new hardware and installed the screws lightly until all were in place before tightening them all. additionally I modified lightweight wrench so I could hold the nuts in place while I started the screws.
It was a labor intensive process. Good Luck! Bob |

Re: 30 Pickup rear window Install the glass, rubber seal, and all 4 corners on the workbench. Then install in the truck. Duct tape or a helper is helpful. Why Ford used 22 screws to install one window is beyond overkill.

Re: 30 Pickup rear window I used a pair of curved needle nose pliers (Harbor Freight specials) to hold the nut in place while turning the screw with magnetic screwdriver. Was a challenge but it worked.... Good luck
