New video! Mart tidies workbench. Oh yeah, Plus some 32 stuff.

Hello. Welcome to Marts Garage and part 6 of my 32 sedan build series. This week's video shows the details of what lead up to the assembly video shown last week. Big jobs were new kingpin bushes and putting the track rod back to the original length. I had to do a quick job on the shackles and also include a little chat about 32 heavy axles. oh yeah I also did a long overdue tidy up of my workbench.
I hope you find the content interesting and/or entertaining. Please subscribe if you like this sort of thing and share with your friends on social media.
Thanks for watching.
Mart.

Years ago my friend told me he wanted a Work Bench that Rotated ever 24 hours and dumped all the stuff left on the bench into the garbage can.

The thing about putting your work on video is you can see where you are letting yourself down. Hence tidying the bench. It looked disgraceful in the last video and I was ashamed to show it.

Yeah, Lars, you're right, modifying the plate would be a better fix. I went with the easier option. I trust the other (good) plate will keep it all aligned.

Thanks for the interest and response.

Will have to give it a look, When I was working as a carpenter, just keeping the work area clean and tidy was #1 importance. Just daily production from the workers was worthwhile, while safety was just as important. You bring in a plumber or electrician at $100 per hour, they got to work over crap and move things ... A dirty messy work area is just bad all the way around ... as a supervisor, I probably spent just as much time cleaning, as I did supervising.

With all that said, my work bench is a mess but very cleanable. I will get my small shop cleaned out before I start further on my flattie V8 tear down project

Thanks Mart. I watch your videos with my 10yr old son, we enjoy them and look forward to the next. He loves that he can watch the welding without putting on a mask. Gave me a chuckle when he shielded his eyes at first with his hand.

Don't worry about the bench.
Im quite glad when i see people on internet having the same order on the bench as I have.

But i understand where you are coming from, and i write tech tips for a Swedish magazine. and i try to clean up my pics as much as possible.
its easier when it pictures ;-)

Finally
Its my "ADHD" that forces me to right comments stuff like the shackle.
No criticism.

Hi Mart,

Question how easy are Pilot exhaust manifolds to find these days in the UK?

Not falling over them at every autojumble and only rarely pop up on UK ebay. So I'd say not too easy. If you're serious and are prepared for a big postal bill and potentially high cost of the parts I could ask a couple of people or supply you with their contact details.
Mart.
