Only sheetmetal that goes on an oilpan i can think of is the clutchcover piece on a 2 piece truck oilpan...or the clean out cover...

Or are you talking about an add on windage tray? If so, yes.

Ronnie Roadster added one to my 59AB oil pan. I believe he got it from Canton Racing Products.

As Tim said I believe he is looking for the windage tray. His first language is obviously not English, which is fine. I knew what he was referring to. Leave one out of a non pressurized Model A or B engine and you;ll have disastrous results. Of course that is not there to keep oil from being sucked up off the pan by the crank.

French language doesn't always have direct translations of certain words. Best I can say is using photographs as was mentioned or more descriptive words to add to the mix. Such as metal piece inside pan, or metal piece on rear of pan. We will figure it out from there.

There are different pans for different models and years of Ford automobiles so that is important information as well. French Fords are similar but it could be German, American, or Canadian as well.

I note that he attempted to include a photo. That would be very helpful to those of us limited to one or two languages, neither being the language of the Loire Valley.

Might be talking about the baffels in some of the oil pans.

Maybe the oil pan in question is the type used on the Ford truck engines 8RT type with removable round lower plate for access to the oil pump pickup screen.
