Re: Wanted 56 to 64 Overdrive Parts

I don't have an extra relay but they do pop up on e-bay once in a while.
The governoir is not voltage sensitive as it is only a switch. They also pop on e-bay now and again.
If you can't locate a governor, I would sell you one for $25.00 + shipping.
Just curious; do you have the top loader T-86 or the HD side loader T-85 tranny?

Ford
Thank you for your Response. I kinda thought the governor did not care about 6v or 12v but was not sure,As I have several Governors with no voltage marks on them.As far as the Tranny ,it came out of a 1954 Mercury? T-85????? Thanks john Curtis

Re: Wanted 56 to 64 Overdrive Parts

Since its prior to '55 and presumably a "sideloader", I would assume it is the regular old Ford tranny; neither a T-86 (but better) nor a t-85 (not as heavy duty).
They are good trannys and will stand up well if not overly abused.

We stock the relays...brand new 6 and 12 volt. If you have trouble locating a good used one, let me know. They sell for $139.00 plus shipping. Don't have the governors; just the solenoids, relays, and kickdown switches.
