1930-1931 CCPU cab to bed panel color 2 Attachment(s)
Pickup Cab & Bed Panel - located Between Cab & Bed. Our 1931 CCPU (Budd cab) is getting that new panel. What color is the panel supposed to be? Body color or black? I didn't find the panel's color listed in the Judging Standards.

Re: 1930-1931 CCPU cab to bed panel color Usually the bed is body color.

Re: 1930-1931 CCPU cab to bed panel color The panel in question is located horizontally between the bottom of the cab and the bottom of the bed. It is a dust panel that is usually missing from the CCPU.

Re: 1930-1931 CCPU cab to bed panel color It's a good question. The panel on my late '30 CCPU is rust color, and it has been that way for many decades.
IMHO, something tells me that Henry would not have expended resources to paint a rarely seen panel on a commercial truck. In which case the panel would be unfinished. That would be my #1 guess. If the panels were painted, they would probably be black so that they could be used with all body color options. That would be my #2 guess. I hope you find a more definitive answer, I would like to know for sure too. |

Re: 1930-1931 CCPU cab to bed panel color I need to get one of those for my CCPU. Looks like it will keep the road dirt from getting all over the splash aprons.
