1938 Ford windshield seal help

Friends, I need some advice on a issue I have on my 1938 Ford pickup, I’m in the process is installing a new windshield seal, but I’m having issues with the seal popping out at the V-butt areas top and bottom and also a couple other spots, I checked the channel so many times to make sure nothing was in the way but nothing is helping, the frame is just freshly painted so I don’t want to damage it, I have some Napa windshield seal 4121 and thought about using that in those areas but I wanted to get some input and advice before I go that route. The seal is from Dennis Carpenter

What seal are you using? Can you post some pictures on the "v"?

I don't think the glass has anything to do with the gasket not fitting. The gasket on the '38 fits into the metal frame which in turn holds the glass.
