Carburetor Identification- Help Needed!

Hey Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could give me some info on what the heck this thing is?

All I know is that it is a Model T carb that someone rigged it up to my Ideal model V engine at some point in the past and it is pretty worn out...

Here are some pictures: https://photos.app.goo.gl/LStwq9LbbuxtyWMW8

Thanks,
Colin

Interesting! Do you know anything else about it?
Are the numbers of the bowl lid a date?(11-23-15)
Any Ideas about what it's worth?

I am assuming there are no rebuild kits available

Thanks,
Colin

Looks like a patent date so it would be hard to say. The link is likely pretty accurate on price as far as collector value. Some carbs don't have metering adjustments that are consistent. The best carbs are the ones that are predictable about how well they will function. There were likely more aftermarket parts manufacturers than there were auto manufacturers back in the early days. Some were good and many were not.

That's what I figured it was...
That is very true. It seems that these did ok based on the different Model T club forums from the link. I didn't see a value though...

Thanks,
Colin

This might be on the high end, there are other carbs that have more buyer appeal such as some of the Strombergs and Zeniths made for the Model T.
