Identifying a part

3 Attachment(s)
Figured this was the best place to start. Going through some lose dealer parts and have no idea what they are. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

This piece has Ford (script) USA stamped into one of the flats. No idea. Very rugged part. 1 3/8" across flats and threads are 5/8"-18 fine.

TIA

Re: Identifying a part

Welcome. That part screws into the front of the crankshaft. The hand crank goes into it. When the engine starts the cranks is thrown out of engagement. You should really place your question here: https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=4. This area is for questions to the editors about the site.

Oops! Didn't see the Editor portion. Thank you Charlie, for the answer and for where to post. Is there anyway I can move it there or would that be for a mod? I'll post there in the future as I have a couple other unknowns.

Best,
Jeff

Re: Identifying a part

Just repost on one of the forums that the year range may fit. Model A, early V8 etc. Many on the forums know more then just the range suggested by the headers.
