Vacuum wiper motor

Hi All,

I am rebuilding an original vacuum wiper motor that I had recently purchased for my 31 Tudor and was wondering what to use to safely clean all the parts without hurting or etching them?

Regards
Bill

On my 31 sport coupe I have a very nice restored vacuum wiper and a fake hose through the windshield frame. I usually don't drive it in the rain, but if I get caught in some drizzle, I use RainX. It's better than any wiper.

I use paint thinner or Varsol.

Have heard that Simple Green is unfriendly to aluminum and perhaps pot metal?

Thanks Guy's,

I got the motor all cleaned up using lacquer thinner and just about finished rebuilding it and I accidentally broke the brown yoke piece. Does anyone know where I can buy the internal parts under the side cover?

Regards
Bill

See the MAFCA website list of vendors. Also, try Ficken wiper service, specialists with Trico, etc.
