Vacuum wiper motor Hi All,
I am rebuilding an original vacuum wiper motor that I had recently purchased for my 31 Tudor and was wondering what to use to safely clean all the parts without hurting or etching them? Regards Bill |
Re: Vacuum wiper motor On my 31 sport coupe I have a very nice restored vacuum wiper and a fake hose through the windshield frame. I usually don't drive it in the rain, but if I get caught in some drizzle, I use RainX. It's better than any wiper.

Re: Vacuum wiper motor I use paint thinner or Varsol.
Have heard that Simple Green is unfriendly to aluminum and perhaps pot metal? |
Re: Vacuum wiper motor Thanks Guy's,
I got the motor all cleaned up using lacquer thinner and just about finished rebuilding it and I accidentally broke the brown yoke piece. Does anyone know where I can buy the internal parts under the side cover? Regards Bill |
Re: Vacuum wiper motor See the MAFCA website list of vendors. Also, try Ficken wiper service, specialists with Trico, etc.
