That was supposed to be Deuce Coupe before you all get hung up on it.

Are there a lot of stock 32s out there? I can say I've not seen one live outside a museum collection. Maybe I need to get out more often. :)

a recent post on the hamb shows a guy with a beautiful 3w body he just got, and then an artist drawing of what he wants to do with it. now, i like old skool hotrods, but jeez he will make it into the same modern streetrod thing we see all the time. just buy a fiberglass car and do your thing!! well, thats my comment, i am done

Remember the 1970's? A big thing was a "T"-shirt with a picture of a guy with a sawzall and the caption "Anyone can restore a car; it takes a real man to chop one up".

Hopefully, those days are behind us.

even as rare as they are, it still falls under the "they're still out there" column. i'm sure there's guys that bought em in the 60's and said "i'm gonna ...some day", and there's guys who actually did restore them and never drive them or participate in any events. they are there, we just hear about them after they sold instead of being for sale. i believe most desirable cars never do come to the surface, they are sold under the radar to friend or family or some one who has known about them for decades

I can get chopping up a car. I get it. I'm not an elitist. Most chops are bad or never finished. Only the good ones we remember.

Then the inheritor f's it up, no idea of what it took to save something. Whatever, make a good 15sec Instagram video with air bags. Okay I'm being a bit observant and bias. Sad but true.


All this has nothing to do about a stock 32. Which is the question.

Okay, someone adding some value. They are still very rare. I can't remember a show with a stock coupe. Maybe I'm going to the wrong shows. Back to 50s is a MSRA. Huge show and friends that do it all the way from florida.

I know this post is about '32s, but the couple I bought my '46 Super Deluxe from had several Ford cars for sale, ranging from 1920's to the '46. The '46 was love at first site, even for my wife! When I started talking about the purchase, they asked me more questions than I asked them. Did I like the flathead, would I put a SBC of a crate Ford engine in it. Would I change the rear end and put discs on it for better brakes, as well as many more questions. I started to wonder why all the questions, because the only yes reply was that I liked the flathead, and my intent was to keep it as original as possible. The stern questions went to a smile, to handshakes and a sale. I found out that it was the ladies father's car, and his wish before passing away, was that the car should not be "hot rodded". When I got the car cleaned up and in good running order, I went back to visit the couple, and she went to tears when she saw the car. She said, "Dad would be sooooo happy". I don't know what will happen to the car when I'm gone, but I hope it goes to someone that doesn't own a Saws All

Mine looks pretty old, weathered and stock (except the wheels are bent spoke, adjustable 16's) . . . especially the old water stained top, old paint and wheels - just don't look under the hood too closely. LOL

I've tried to honor the guy that originally built his poor mans HotRod - named 'Earl' - just couldn't fathom changing the old weathered look of it. I'm actually quite glad that it wasn't all 'restored' when I found it like a time capture in the garage it was built in.
