39 trans lube Hello this past summer I have been running 140 lube in my trans, what type of trans lube should I use for Midwest winter,if I decide to take it out on a clean dry road day, thats below freezing?

Re: 39 trans lube if your only going to use it a few times during the winter and car is parked indoors I would stick with the 140w , but 85/90w sta-lube with GL4 sold at napa would be best

Re: 39 trans lube I always run a multi viscosity oil like 75-140. Pick your favorite brand.

Re: 39 trans lube JJASON, Just for the comparison, place a small bottle cap full of 140 SAE and a bottle cap of 85-140 in your refrigerator or freezer and see what actually happens to the viscosity of each. In cold climates I would use a multi-viscosity. Call CRC and ask them specifically if straight 140 will be ok in very cold climates.
