Car wash bucket.... I have a slight headache looking @ the different available WASH/WAX products today. This is kind of like an Oil question but not really as today's wax has some good results with our older paint.
Meguiar's and the Turtle seem to have the most available options, what are you guys using and like. I am blown away @ the options...spray coating 3-in-1, wet wax, wash & wax, premium liquid wax:eek: Hey the vehicles run good I just want to clean'm and give them a shine here and want to take advantage of the upcoming "while supplies last!" ONE DAY ONLY 25% off NAPA deal. Any input would be great. |

Re: Car wash bucket.... Can't go wrong with any Meguiar's products. I use their Gold Class carnauba wax, it seems to hold up in the sun better than others. If your paint is oxidized, best to hit it with one of their cleaning products first.

Re: Car wash bucket.... After you wax................
And need to wash, the best i have found for not removing the wax and cleaning the vehicle is Turtle Wax Zip Wax Car Wash. Pour some into hot water and it cleans but doesn't remove your wax job. Meguier's is now owned by 3M, and has been for several years. Their wax has always been my favorite. |
Re: Car wash bucket.... I use only Meguiars products too.

Re: Car wash bucket.... Zip wax/wash and a shammy (chamois?) work for me. Then wax again.

Re: Car wash bucket.... I have found AUTOGLYM to be my wax/cleaning products of choice now.
Have used all the products mentioned in the comments above , but AUTOGLYM gives me the best results. |

Re: Car wash bucket.... I am old school, Car Skin cleaner and Simonize paste wax have worked for me for 72 years. LOL (Sprinkle a little baking powder on the paste wax for fast easy removal and shine. Works for me.)
To directly address the title of your post, almost any ole bucket will do. LOL |

Re: Car wash bucket.... I don't understand why anyone would serve a fruit salad in a car wash bucket? Huh? Whaaat? :)
|
Re: Car wash bucket.... GB we did that in high school. We called it jungle juice. Fruit, fruit juice, and a lot of vodka. I'm not saying anything ever worked out well every time or any cars got washed, but it was fruit in a bucket or tub.
I have old clunkers, I use dish soup and hot water these days. . |
Re: Car wash bucket.... With all the tree pollen and mold in this rainy climate, I go straight for the ultra caustic automatic dishwasher stuff every spring when I was my rigs. Like a miracle, I swear.
