Coil wires 1 Attachment(s)
Coil wires green wire to negative and brown wire to ground is this right? Should It be brown wire to negative and green wire to ground
I am running a angle drive distributor with a Mallory electric ignition |
Re: Coil wires No idea on the colors you are referring to, but on a 12v system the ignition (power) connects to the (+) terminal and the (-) terminal connects to the distributor/points/condenser.

Re: Coil wires This will help, I think.

Re: Coil wires Colors depend on who designed the wiring harness. If they made a diagram then that would tell you otherwise one should go to the distributor and hopefully the other goes to the ignition switch.

Re: Coil wires Your points go to ground, if you have neg ground system, neg wire goes to distributor, likewise if Pos ground, Pos wire goes to distributor. Regardless of wire insulation color. Makes it easy to remember if you are running points. I have no idea what electronic units use.
