How did they lower the front and the back. Anyone have any pictures up close of the front lowered like this car, as well as the back? Thanks

Re: How do they lower this?

Dennis Lacy (found on the HAMB and possibly here) has a T on a '32 frame. I can't find the pictures, but he did a substantial 'Z' job at the rear of the frame to get the rear down. There are many ways to get the front down. The HAMB* is probably a better place to track down this type of information.

*Go down to 'Forum Jump' right at the bottom of this page and select 'Hot Rods and Customs.' If you're not a member on the Jalopy Journal, it's pretty much like starting out here. Same software, same Ryan. A little rowdier crew over there, however.

On this one we used a 8 inch dropped front axle and lowered the spring hangers .The rear of the frame is z-ed.
Oil pain is about one inch off the ground. We drove this car a ton !
This pic is at the Indy 500 track...

Is the car on the Indy track going the wrong way? Or, are the grandstands shown on the infield?

OK from what I gather you the rear ends are z-ed. Looks like basicly just use a drop axel for the front. But in my picture they dont seem to use the leaf springs or I guess we just cant see them from this angle.

Thank you all for the input

Re: How do they lower this?

They sent Bubba around the track backwards to steam clean it! An inch off the ground on a flat paved track is doable, but watch those curbs at the end of the driveway... and speed bumps. ws

No the direction is correct , you can see the pit tanks etc set up. This was community day a couple years ago a couple weeks before the 500.
The stands came as new when the Formula one race was held along with a new center pagota... Its being redone again for the new road race next year....
