I ordered parts on 8-7-11 for my model a I called them on monday the 8th and added to the order and told them to rush it. I called today 8-16 and was told it was shipping today expect it next monday the 22nd. Sorry I dont need it!!!!!! :mad: Any one else have this kind of luck? Where is the best place to order parts? thanks
PS. there was no back order just takes that long!!

Don't know who you ordered from, but most of the parts vendors I deal with ship out within a day or 2. Last week I ordered (from Snyders) over the internet on Tuesday night, got the box on Saturday.

Bert's does pretty good for me and are nice folks to deal with.
The fastest place and the best by far for me is Dennis Piranio's. If I call in the morning and it's in stock it's shipped the same day.

I usually order parts from Bratton's about once a month. I call them in the morning (west coast time) and tell them I am sending them an e-mail order. They ship it the same day and seldom are they out of stock on items I ordered. The shipment arrives 4-5 days later.

The few times they were out of stock on an item they called me later in the day and advised, told me when they expected it in, and asked if I wanted the order processed right away or wait for the back order.

Their service has been consistent over the years.

I'm just the little guy and only order from time to time. Snyders have always been great for me.

I like Snyders I get parts within two days and they have never put junky parts off on me like the east coast place that is so famous. Snyders makes the best parts that many others sell. If you need good used and nos or stuff that nobody else has Berts in Denver is best, they also sell quality repro parts.

Brattons is tops for me, has always been, from the early 80's when Walt would stop polishing stainless, covered black from head to toe, when I called and asked to stop over, or to today I call and let them know what i want and when i'll stop by, orders always right and ready to go......Now if only Bert's was close by, hmmm.......

I live on the left coast, but the vendors here are pricey. I'm always happy with Brattons prices, quality and especially their service. Snyders is also very good.

I always get fast service from Mike's A-fordable. Mac's, on the other hand, seems to take a couple of days before shipping the order.

Unless you pay an extra "expedite fee", and then they will get it out in a couple of days.:eek:

i usually order from tams takes about 2 days to get parts he ships right away. i just ordered from macs and it took 4 days to get and both are in the same general location..if tams is out of stock i use Snyder's who takes about 3 days.....

I use Snyder's and Gaslight - both are very quick
AND order cartons are packed very well

If you place an order with Snyders before very early afternoon they always ship the same day. I will call in the morning and the package is sitting on my porch the next evening. Having said that, UPS may have crushed everything in the box but it will be there none the less.
