Here where I learn all my bad habits 1 Attachment(s)
I learn to spin speedometer at a early age, sell use tires anything to make a buck. Always pull the seats to find change or whatever. That was a must. Did find a pocket watch and still have it. Its a Bulls Eye. I kept quiet about doing this because the other people that worked there would do it. Even found a Silver Dollar. Good Old Days. Dad's garage New, Used and well Used.

Re: Here where I learn all my bad habits Last year it was tore down, Ross Tractor's made a lot for there tractors.Dad had a Hudson Dealership until 47.Its a wonder that bunch did not end up in prison the way they operated. I did not want a life like that. There was no reason for what they all did back them. After I got out of High School I went in the Army to get away from them. After the Army I went to Ohio and went to work at Ford Assembly Plant. That why I like Fords. Ford was very good to me.I never forgot that.

Re: Here where I learn all my bad habits Indeed interesting bit of history. I remember as a little kid turning a speedometer for my Dad. Not that he was being dishonest but rather he had just rebuilt an engine and wanted the milage accurate on some car he had. He had pulled the speedo and cable and had me hook it up to the electric drill while sitting on the floor and I ran it in reverse to reduce the mileage to 0. Thank you Old Redneck for bringing back a memory and your service.

Re: Here where I learn all my bad habits When I was a kid, I tried spinning my own odometer, but in those days, only had a single speed 1/4" drill, forward speed only! And yes, I checked under the seats on every car I bought, somehow feeling like a thief when I found a coin or two. My third car, a '39 Tudor, had a stash of condoms and an actual pair of panties under the rear seat!
