... and the Flathead roared to life 2 Attachment(s)
I finally assembled and installed everything necessary to start up my 8BA for the first time last night. It was awesome. I bought this engine last summer, and took some of it apart to clean it up and paint it. Now it sits in my 51 Mercury chassis. I replaced the distributor with a Bubba's Chevy conversion unit, a 12 volt Andover coil, 12 volt generator, added Red's Header's, and a Merc-o-matic transmission. You guys might like the third video the most.

Re: ... and the Flathead roared to life Thanks guys, I wanted to get a good Flathead video like #3. The flames out of the headers is just cool! The engine paint is a high temp paint, either 1300 or 2000 degrees ( I can't remember at the moment) called Burnt Copper from VHT. The Bubba Chevy conversion distributor is a mechanical advance.
