1940 frame patch pieces Anyone have the contact information for the company now making 1940 Ford frame patch pieces. Precision Coachworks near Boston used to make pieces but I believe the owner Dave Maher passed away.

Re: 1940 frame patch pieces I think Joe's Antique Auto Parts picked up the Precision parts business. I have seen the outside rail repair section on e-bay recently.

Re: 1940 frame patch pieces Those parts are now made by Dave's successor by a company in Billerica MA I believe. Got the '40 fame support parts for seat from them, they worked perfectly. I believe they told me that Joe's was going to carry their stuff.

Re: 1940 frame patch pieces Chassis Engineering at West Branch, Iowa, is long gone. Someone may have bought out their name and stock, but I have no info. They used to be close to my building, and would come over to see and measure my cars to design parts.

Re: 1940 frame patch pieces Precision Coachworks was in Billerica, Mass. Dave Maher was the owner and made perfect replacement pieces for several early Ford frames. After Dave passed away I believe Weld Fab also in Billerica took over making the pieces. From Joe's Antique Auto Parts catalog (on line) it appears Weld Fab may be selling pieces through Joe's. They do offer the kick ups for the frame.
