1932 1933 1934 Roadster Pickup info parts pictures I was lucky to find some 32-33-34 roadster pickup parts and can't seem to find more info on them. So are they rare , valuable and can one find all the parts to finish a project. Any pictures or info or even leads to get more of my truck project would be great thanks

Re: 1932 1933 1934 Roadster Pickup info parts pictures I have a few good photos saved from one (32) that was up on eBay
I have a friend that has a 34 … and I know were there’s a 34 cowl and dash that will be mine one day. There seams to be quite a few cowls out there from big trucks. But yes ……. real RPU’s are few and far between. |

Re: 1932 1933 1934 Roadster Pickup info parts pictures Wow some great pictures and that is going to help a ton. Now I will know what I am looking for or at. Does anyone have a close up picture of the bottom of the windscreen posts and latch and hinges or are they the same as a roadster thanks

Re: 1932 1933 1934 Roadster Pickup info parts pictures The w / s posts are not the same as reg roadster
As you can see in the photos there’s a filler panel under the frame and the w / s frame is said to be the same as 31 roadster |
Re: 1932 1933 1934 Roadster Pickup info parts pictures Whats the story on the bare cab shown? It liooks like it has steel inner door rather than wood.

The '32-'34 r/p posts are unique and not carry-over from Model A r/ps. The windshield frame, windshield wiper motor and brackets, and rear view mirror and bracket are carryover standard '30-'31 roadster/phaeton parts.
The photos below are of an authentically restored example at the V-8 Club meet last week. |

Re: 1932 1933 1934 Roadster Pickup info parts pictures Any new info on the 1932 1933 1934 roadster pickups. I see that there was on for sale on the east coast and did anyone get more info or detailed pictures. I haven't gotten any more parts and haven't seen any parts for sale either. I know they are quite rare but any information would be appreciated thank you

Re: 1932 1933 1934 Roadster Pickup info parts pictures You should purchase a copy of DavidG's "The 1932 Ford Book", which is sold via the Early V8 Club's website, among others. It's a VERY good reference for '32 in general, but it does have a section on the open cab trucks.
There's also a copy of the "Ford Times" magazine that has a feature on the open cab trucks. I can't remember the exact date or issue number, but I want to say it was from sometime in the 70s. It's been a number of years since I looked at my copy, and I don't have easy access to it at this time to check. There are a few of us in different stages of progress that are searching for different parts to complete trucks. Some of us have been at it for years, and are closer to having completed trucks than others. If you're like us - on a budget and doing it the hard way - be aware that it'll likely be a very long project. I have all the hard parts, but am always looking for more to build another (or upgrade to nicer stuff). The hardest parts to find will be the windshield posts, filler panel, and top (if you want an original). The cowl and dash are by far the easiest, as they were shared with the big chassis that were shipped off to be turned in to buses, firetrucks, etc. The sub-floor is the same as a closed cab. The doors and back panel are also unique, but there are a couple of experienced metalshapers than can reproduce them (although not cheaply). The majority of the back panel can be made using a close cab section as a starting point. Wood for the door frames is reproduced. |
Re: 1932 1933 1934 Roadster Pickup info parts pictures Door latches, striker plates, handles (inside and outside), and hinge pins have the same part numbers as roadsters in the Ford parts book. Examining photos of the hinges they appear to be the same shape top and bottom as the upper roadster hinge, with unique part numbers.
