Turn signals Here is the turn signal switch I like from http://turnswitch.com/Turnsignal.htm. It cancels by time and the timer extends while your foot is on the brake. Has an emergency flasher feature. Uses stock wiring harness and only a few additional wires required(beyond the 12v to the unit), one parking light, one rear stop light, one to headlight switch, one brake light switch. I have it on both my 36 and just installing it on my 41.

I grew up in the back of a Model A in the 1960s. This is the turn signal switch I remember everybody in the Model A Club using. I'm not sure anybody would know what it means anymore?

Re: Turn signals I have the electro-tec system in my hotrod. I use a momentary contact switch under the dash. Works well.

Re: Turn signals Off-subject but mentioned above; Re Hand Signals .... remember taking my driver's test in 1954. Had to know your out-the-window hand-turn and even the stopping signal to pass the driver's test. Some cars came with steering column directionals (an extra cost on new cars ?) Not so much fun in winter weather.

Installed signal stat unit on my 48 last year. Made my own loom. dual filliment conversion from C&G in the front park lights, converted 2 Ford Hall back up lights with orange bulbs and cut a clear orange kitchen spray bottle up and placed behind the bulb for extra spread. You can hardly see it when not operating. Best thing I ever did, it was embarrasing turning corners with no blinkers before and as for hand signals some people thought you were either waving or making "rude signs"
