What correct fuel pump rod assemble to use

What fuel pump rod needed 1949-53 Merc engine and vendor to get it--- it looks like it was a 3/8" tube or rod that was in originally before it was taken apart cooked out and part was lost

That depends on the block. The early 8BA blocks did not have a bushing and used a slightly larger diameter fuel push rod. I believe that rod has a "skirt" surrounding it that contacts the block when the rod is at the lowest position. So check for the bushing in the block before you buy a rod. If you can't find anything PM me I think I have a couple.

Ordered a new set-up from MAC VP, he told me what I all need and he had the parts-- first time I had any dealings with him and was very IMPRESSED a real gentlemen and took time to explain-- Thanks
