For FREE, Truck Transmission from a 1948 F-4 Truck, I picked up a 226 c.i. SIX cylinder motor & transmission from ShowLow, AZ this week & have no use for the transmission as the motor will replace my "G" model SIX cylinder in my 47 sedan. I also have a radiator WITH SHROUD for the F4! It too is free if you pay the shipping.. I have no history on the trans, it's at my house in Los Angeles (the sleepy San Fernando Valley). I am asking FREE if you pick it up or whatever the cost to arrange/pay the transportation to anywhere U.S.A)..:D

BTT.. I am selling the 1948 F4, 226 c.i. SIX cylinder engine that came with the transmission.. I have all parts for the "H" model.. after consideration (and advice), I AM NOT going to use this motor, but will just rebuild my 1947 "G" model engine.. the reason is the swap over changes will require me to change my exhaust pipe locations, fan clearances & motor mounting (the 1948 is from an F4 Truck). I will sell all for $500 OR BEST OFFER, including the transmission, Radiator & Shroud, and complete engine with starter & generator, distributor, etc.. shipping from Calif, 91335 zip code.. I am parting out this engine. It is in really good shape, after I have cleaned off the layer of grease & mud!

I will post photos of parts already removed from the engine... I have everything BUT the starter.. I cannibalized that for my G model engine rebuild..
I have
1. 6 Volt Generator with pulley & bracket,
2. H model water pump - getting harder to find..

I have everything else.. contact me for any part you may need... from block, to oil pump, to oil pan, pistons, connecting rods,

Parts will be sold very cheap.. Will ship to lower 48... :eek:
