Unusual Model A breaker plate

2 Attachment(s)
Found this amongst my Model A parts stash - didn't know I had it and have never seen one like it before. Noticed it's quite different in construction than most stock breaker plates and reproductions. Seems to be a one-piece forging.
Anyone know the story about it?
Thanks for the feedback,
Mike in Texas

RG&JS page 2-11 and 2-12 revised 2011, covers the three distributor plates. This is one of the three.

This is the 2nd plate, one piece forged plate which replaced the forged plate with riveted ball. It was used after January 1928 until late 1928 when the stamped steel plate was introduced.

I have the older one made up until January 28. I would like to rebuild a distributor using this plate but you can't get points for it. McGarrett you are going to have the same problem. I was told by one vendor that they are going to start making points to fit some time in 2020.
