Re-Silver A Rear-View

Where would I go to get my rear-view mirror re-silvered?
Thanks

Never mind -- should have done "search" first

When you get the price you may want to have a glass shop cut you a new one from stock.

I wouldn't think that would be a problem so you might ask. It would be a good data point to have when the other numbers start coming in.

By chance, have you found a glass shop that can cut a mirror out of the same thickness as original?? That as been my issue.

Why make new ones when original mirrors are not that hard to find?

Another issue using old glass is that thru the years the glass becomes
Stained/etched/discolored etc to where such shows thru new silver

A picture of the back side of the standard mirror . The housing outside diameter is just under 1.125..

Re: Re-Silver A Rear-View

I recently had Alchemy Mirror Resilvering do one for a fine point care, they did a good job and it came out really nice. It was under $50. Steve mentions the link on post #11 and that is pulled from our "sticky's" at the top of our forum. I sent them pictures of what I had first and they were able to assess whether it would come out good or not, before I sent it to them.
