is there a way to adjust the side to side gap on my 1951 ford hood. Hood needs to move to the right so the gap on both sides will be the same. pictured attached.

Re: hood alignment

Bill, If possible post a photo showing how the other side fits. What are measurements of gaps as compared to factory specs?

Attached- right and left side- My thought was just to make them the same on both sides if possible but there does not seem to be an adjustment to accomplish this. Fenders seem to line up correctly, I'd rather not mess with them.

If the hood, when slowly lowering, looks like it lines up but when it is snapped shut pulls to the left, then, most of the times that I have corrected the situation, was to, either with a rubber mallet or wood block, in your case, strike the spring loaded spear on the hood to bend it to the left.(as you are facing the car )
Note, you are not really bending the spear but the associated sheet metal that the spear is attached to.
