plug wire routing

Some stock plug wire routing was done in aprox 1" diameter tubes that were attached intake manifold bolts. Wires came out of some holes in the tubes. Does anybody have pictures of the spark plug wiring using these tubes. I have a set of these and think I might want to use them

On the ford V8's, as petehoovie shows, stock spark plug wiring are routed thru factory made painted steel tubes attached to each side of the V8 manifold. I presume you are asking about the tubes and you don't say what year engine your have. The factory tubes are a little different depending on the year car your doing. If you're looking to obtain the wire carriers, search Ebay or the Ford V8 Club or Ford Barn classified ads. If you are trying to figure out the individual wiring arrangement its a relatively a simple matter if you have a cylinder numbering diagram, the cylinder firing order and given your engine model, a distributor cap (some distributors have two caps) that has the matching cylinder numbers on it. Otherwise its a more involved process of figuring that out by more in-depth research. Some here can provide you with the diagrams of the latter.

He says he has a set of the tubes and might want to use them. I think he just wants to see how they look/what they look like when they are installed....

I installed them and know how they look. Mine have different hole locations than what is shown in picture. I have a 59AB in a 32 Roadster. Not sure I want all wires exposed or use the tubes.

Spark wires thru a wire loom on a 59ab

I like to buy spark plug wires in bulk. About 14ft gets you there, with a couple ft left over. Run the wires run through the loom and connected to the distributor plates (everything tight) Leave 6" long to spark plugs and then make the ends up tight when everything is bolted up. Makes it nice and clean.
