John from Australia - down under

Hi all - could someone please tell me how to make the brackets or have the patterns for the brackets to fit hydraulic shock absorbers front and rear to my '30 model coupe. I do not wish to pay the seemingly high prices asking for the kits available plus freight to Australia. I am working on stopping this car better and decided to start with the suspension. I would prefer the clamp on type brackets for the front axle. Thanks guys. John

John, go to my profile and scroll down to "My A". I made them for the rear only. They are for a Monroe (Aust. ?) Gasmatic, #59017 shock. This shock has a loop or eye at each end and is probably the easiest configuration to work with. I copied the brackets that were on my coupe. I used 2x2x1/4" angle iron 5 3/4" long, They are Right and Left, They are not duplicates. Once I cut the steel, I used only my drill press and a angle grinder. I used the grinder to cut the clearance where it interferes with the rear axle housing. I made a picture but I can't display it now.

Thanks for your help - much appreciated, only need details for front shocks now - where best to attach them to the axle as in the kits or the backing plates somehow, thanks. John
