That's a nice truck, even better to have one that has been in the family for all those years.

I think it is great having your grandfather’s truck. Inherited vehicles are the best to own.

I have a son and a grandson to pass mine on to.

Love the photos and story, Your Nephew should be a happy Man!
P.S. That 100,000 mile guarantee sign over His shop is a thing of the far distance past. Wish it wasn't.

Cool story with a happy ending. Someone said it earlier, the best trucks are the ones from the family. Looks like you've got a good one, and you're gonna appreciate it.

I've been giving thought to leaving my truck to my son, but honestly I'm afraid it might just be a burden to him. He's young, just married, just starting a family and a career, I just don't know.
I know at his age, I wouldn't have known what to do with one...slim

He bought it new in may of 53 for a shop truck-I remember riding in it and playing in it as a kid-it sat from 1989 untill 2004 in the garage when I started bugging him to get it running he passed in 2007 -found an envelope with my name on -inside was the title -which in its self is a story!
