Catseye gas gauge Anyone else have one of these?
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/n5...000-no-tmp.jpg Wow that sucker came out way huge. (Smaller now) |
Re: Catseye gas gauge Post a picture of what you have?

Re: Catseye gas gauge There's a picture, use scroll bar at the bottom of your screen.
|
Re: Catseye gas gauge Reason I ask is there's not much info to be found. Gasket kits are a force-fit. Faceplate won't go in at all.

Re: Catseye gas gauge Thanks, Pluck. Fig. 14 is it. My faceplate is missing the paint, and turned around, apparently. Glass is amber.
The alignment tab on the new faceplate is twice as wide as the original. The drilling is too far inward for the second gasket to fit between it and the lens. Just FYI. |

Copy the picture to your Desktop. Open the picture so it displays on your screen. On top toolbar click on Edit. Depending on what program is being used to open the picture, you may see Resize - click on it. If you do not see resize click on edit again and resize should be there. |
Re: Catseye gas gauge Is the glass amber or is the amber from gasoline stain. may have an original in my gas gauge junk box. ken

Hope it shows up now. |
Re: Catseye gas gauge Send it to some one and have them post it.
Not me...I have one hell of a time doing it myself! I have never seen an "amber" lense but that does not mean Ford did not make them. Pluck |
