37 1 1/2 ton truck questions 1 Attachment(s)
I recently acquired this truck. I have the wrong grill, was wondering what it belongs to. I haven't seen one with two holes in bottom.

Re: 37 1 1/2 ton truck questions I'm thinking a pickup, it's much to small for for this truck.

Re: 37 1 1/2 ton truck questions Google E83W. English Ford.
2 crank holes. http://ccmv.aecsouthall.co.uk/img/s1...93652890-4.jpg If you want to know why 2 crank holes, the engine (whole driveline actually) is offset to the passenger side. The RHD ones for sure are offset to the left. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it is safe to assume that the LHD ones are offset to the left. The rear axle is of recognisable Early Ford type, and had one short and one long side. Mart. Edit:I checked and there is confirmation that LHD versions were offset the other way. |
Re: 37 1 1/2 ton truck questions Yep Marts right. Fordson/Thames. They made a nice little pick-up as well. Lots of them made their way down here to NZ

Thanks Mart. Now how about these, they were in one of the boxes of parts. They are heavy.

Re: 37 1 1/2 ton truck questions Thanks Bob. They must go on another type of vehicle, the truck spare is under the bed in the frame.

Re: 37 1 1/2 ton truck questions Spare tire lock is 1935 or older. If the locking brace is vertical as shown, it is for a passenger car. If the brace is at a 45* angle, it is for a pickup.
