safety check

I've been asked to head up a safety check at a future Model A meet. Where can I find a safety check list?

Re: safety check

Make sure you include the age and condition of the tires. Many seem to think that if there is tread on the bottom they are okay. A tire with weather checks in the side walls or bottom is an unsafe tire that could result in an accident causing injury or death. Wayne

Again, add Fire Extinguisher.

Maybe combine these two lists... :p:p

The purpose of the two lists posted is to check the vehicle to determine if there are any mechanical or electrical deficiencies that need to be corrected before taking the vehicle on the road. There are other lists for what to take along such as tools and spare parts. The below link is on the MAFCA web site, note that it does not have a fire extinguisher.

Please note that my comment is not intended to infer that you do not need a fire extinguisher. You do need a fire extinguisher, but lets keep the lists correct for their intended purpose.

The list on the MAFCA web site should address the need for a Fire extinguisher.

You can also check with Claude Sipe to see if he still has his list. We can also check our files.
