Tube Headers for Model A

Does anyone know where I could buy tube headers for a model A? None of my catalogues seem to have them. Thank you. Junkj

Hello, until you get answers you might try doing a search on Ford Barn for Tube Headers. Red's use to make them but I think they are out of business.

You could always try BCCHOPIT over on the HAMB. He makes some nice Model A headers. Here's his website

Mine is an unusual case because it is a Model B Cragar conversion in a narrowed Model A frame but I built mine from a chevy v8 kit purchased from Summit for $100. Made my own flange and had a lot of tubing left over.

Hey roger,
YOU are a fine builder/fabricator, my friend :) ! Can't wait to hear that Cragar engine light up !!
Wish I had the coin for your other creation.

Not to steal your thread but what good would tube headers do? I'm interested because I have a touring engine in one of the cars.

Re: Tube Headers for Model A

I really enjoy my Cast Iron exhaust header (manifold) on my Ron Kelley 'Touring' engine. It looks much more stock than the steel headers. Except for some possible 'Dry Lakes' usage, I would like to hear why some prefer 'Tube' headers over the heavier cast iron.
