Colour question 2 Attachment(s)
I've recently bought a 36 Cabriolet that has been described as both Bambolino Blue and Amory Green.....can anyone say for sure which it is .

Re: Colour question Bambalino blue

Re: Colour question I agree, Bambolino Blue. It was introduced by Ford for use during the Spring 1936, about may - june ? Also wood grain dashes and brownish gauge colors and no waterfall trim, just 2 thin stainless vertical beads. The revised slider ash tray was centered under the dash. That is one sharp car.

When did Colour become 'color' ? :) |
Re: Colour question Thanks fellas( or should that be fellows, haha)I knew someone on here would know he answer.....its better than Google lol.
The info about the dash trim solves a mystery as well...the car has no Waterfall trim piece or thin strips and I thought it had gone missing.Im still looking for one though as I like the look . if anyone has one sitting gathering dust I could be interested . Going off the Spring/ June dating, what are the chances of the motor being an LB? |
Re: Colour question Here's a reference to ALL 1936 Ford paint. On the left is G B Y where you can view photos of specific colors

Re: Colour question Colour it is down here in NZ. Colour must be right because it is English and the English invented English. You "Yanks" adopted the language it and "bastardised" (or is it "bastardized") it?....we could go on for ever couldn't we :)
